Open fire cooking, outdoor sofas, leafy shade, and smoke drifting from the grill. Bliss.

At the centre of it all is the Fire Cage — cooking flat iron steaks, lamb shoulder skewers, garlic butter king prawns, and thyme chicken thighs over open flame, charred at the edges and built for the grill.

There’s whole Brixham sea bass roasted over fire, burgers layered with mature cheddar and bacon jam, warm focaccia, and generous help-yourself salads built for long afternoons outdoors.

No bookings. Just turn up, find a spot in the sun, order something cold, and stay as long as you like.

Come for lunch. Stay for another bottle. Let the weekend run a little longer than planned.

Friday weather check: if it’s 18°C or above and dry, we’re on
